A Kingslayer At Last!

I saw a post yesterday from JD at Amateur Azerothian saying that he was planning to kill The Lich King today, so I commented and asked if he could invite me along.  After all, MoP is a few days away from releasing and I have still never done ICC25 or killed The Lich King.  So when he sent me an email today as I was sitting in a line at the Taco Bell drive-thru getting myself a Doritos Locos taco inviting me join in, I sped home and logged in as quickly as possible.

It was awesome.  The Laid Back Raids crew is such a friendly group of people to game with, and the encounter itself was entertaining.  I loved the cut scene at the end, and I’ve remained completely spoiler-free so I didn’t know what to expect at all.  I’m grateful that I got another line item finished from my bucket list and I am ready to embrace Mists of Pandaria with open arms.  Plus, Cymre was there…which is basically blogging royalty!

I am pretty excited for MoP, despite having way too many games to play right now (Borderlands 2, Guild Wars 2, Torchlight 2) and the added stress that my fiance and I are buying our first house.  There are not enough hours in the day!

  1. As Arv said, congratulations. I’m glad you managed to make it in time. We decided early on to wait a few extra minutes for people and I think that made a huge difference in the nearly full-raid. A many Kingslayer were crowned tonight. Also, that’s awesome that you were able to avoid the spoilers.

Hope to see you on future runs, it was a pleasure having you with us. 🙂

  2. Congrats on seeing the end of the raid finally and for your achievement.
I don’t know about blogging royalty but thx for the massive complement 😀
