Weekend Getaway to Azeroth

I’m still playing World of Warcraft as much as I can (which isn’t nearly as much as I like) and it’s been like a wonderful vacation home to visit my family.  My husband and 3 of our friends have formed a guild on Wyrmrest Accord, and the 5 of us are questing, dungeoning, and achievement-hunting.  I don’t know how realistic it is to level up a 5-man guild, but you never know. 🙂

Jiraa (my priest) is sitting at level 46 now. I’m really enjoying the Discipline spec, and I’m so glad that everyone on Twitter recommended I try it.  I’m able to heal most of the dungeon content just by nuking the mobs, and only have to switch to direct healing during particularly rough pulls, accidental adds, or the occasional boss.  Sometimes I’m not even the lowest on the DPS graph, which cracks me up.  We have been leveling up pretty much solely from doing dungeons.  Over the weekend we spent time in Razorfen Downs, Dire Maul, Stratholme, Scholomance, Zul’Farrak.  Two of our friends did the Recruit-a-Friend bonus, so they’re constantly leveling super fast and we’re unable to keep up with them.  But it’s still fun!

I also decided to spend some time doing the Halloween event.  I’m still quite a few achievements away from getting the Hallowed title, but I decided that it was worth going around and doing the more monotonous/time-consuming achievements.  The most annoying one being the  Tricks and Treats of Azeroth.  In this, you have to go around to every innkeeper in Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, and Outland.  I’m finished with Kalimdor and EK and currently working on the Outland one.

I also finished up a few of the other achievements, such as Sinister Calling and That Sparkling Smile.

I also got a bit distracted while in Zangarmarsh, and ended up killing the Bog Lurker and got the Medium Rare achievement!

Finally, I sat out in Terrokar for hours trying to fish up the elusive Mr. Pinchy to no avail.  Over 400 casts last night, and I still didn’t catch him.  I think I have the worst possible luck with that damn little pet.  I’m still determined to get him…someday….
